At 'Kingsway to the Sea' our Civils team has been collaborating with Roadways to enhance the sustainability of our pathways by using 100% recycled aggregates as the base and binder layers.

This initiative is a key component of our comprehensive waste management scheme, emphasising the reuse of materials to minimise environmental impact as part of our delivery for main contractor Morgan Sindall Construction

By incorporating fully recycled aggregates into the pathways, we significantly reduce waste and promote circular economy principles. The project also utilises cold asphalt as a binder layer. This further reduces the carbon footprint of the activities on-site, by 40% less CO2 emissions compared to traditional hot asphalt.

This is equivalent to 7,000 car kms per 500m² of binder laid. This approach not only supports environmental sustainability but also aligns with our commitment to innovative and responsible practices.
