Main Client:
Central England Co-Op
Project summary:
Installation and Merchandising for Co-Op Refit programme
Problem:
Separate installation and merchandising services provided by different suppliers lead to:
- Installers waiting for the merchandising team to de-merchandise
- Merchandisers waiting for Installers to hand fixtures back over
- Installers leaving once their scope of works were complete causing unnecessary cost
Our Solution:
We invested in training for our merchandising teams so that they could complete both the installation and merchandising works. Our multi-disciplinary colleagues can deliver all works over the duration of the phase.
Each store was supported by a merchandising co-ordinator and combined installation/merchandising team. Our merchandising co-ordinator was fully responsible for the delivery of each stage of the works.
Results:
All downtime was removed resulting in a 23% labour saving and 21% cost savings for the full 2019 refit program.
