MAIN CLIENT:
Tesco

PROJECT SUMMARY:
Tesco opened its first GetGo store outside of London at its Aston University store in Birmingham. These stores are till-less therefore customers using the Tesco.com app will be able to check in to the store, pick up the groceries they need and walk out again without visiting a checkout. A combination of cameras and weight sensors establishes what customers have picked up and charges them for products directly through the app when they leave the store.

PROBLEM:
With this being a majorly high-profile project plus the complexity of multiple contractors and IT specialists on-site in such a small environment it was imperative that each phase went as smoothly as possible. The Shore Group due to their expertise in this field were chosen to deliver the whole merchandising piece within a tight time frame of 1 week for completion.

SOLUTION:
The Shore Group provided a skilled team of 3 Merchandisers and 1 Team Leader to deliver the whole project. At every stage, our Project team worked in partnership with the Tesco Project Manager to ensure smooth delivery of the store through to the onsite team’s final delivery.

RESULT:
Our team worked very closely and in conjunction with all contractors to ensure the final result was that the store was delivered on time and to the high merchandising standards expected.
“Thank you to the Shore Group team that delivered the Aston University project from a merchandising perspective. The merchandising team provided by the Shore Group were excellent in every aspect from punctuality, communication and professionalism – with a high attention to detail with retail standards. The team had a great work ethic and were able to demonstrate resilience, while maintaining a positive attitude on what was a complex project to deliver – there was nothing that was too much trouble. It was a pleasure to work with the shore group team on this project,
Thanks – Alex.”
